Candidates must have completed Class 12 / 2nd PUC from a recognized board. Minimum aggregate marks required:
Karnataka domicile rules apply. Candidates must generally have studied in Karnataka for 7 years (1st to 2nd PUC) or meet KEA clauses (A–O).
The KCET syllabus strictly follows the PUC / NCERT curriculum. Approximately 70% weightage is from 2nd PUC and 30% from 1st PUC.
Preparation focuses on textbook-based concepts, numerical problem-solving, and repeated practice of standard questions.
