About Common University Entrance Test (CUET)


The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2025 is a crucial examination for undergraduate admissions to over 284 universities across India. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), CUET 2025 is scheduled between May 15 and May 24, 2025. The official notification is expected in February 2025, with registrations commencing in the same month through the official website.

Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must have completed Class 12 or be appearing for the 2025 exams. There’s no age limit, but candidates must meet university-specific requirements. Indian citizens, OCI, PIO, and foreign nationals are eligible to apply.

Exam Pattern: CUET 2025 will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) featuring Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). It includes 37 subjects—13 languages, 23 domain-specific subjects, and a general test—with a duration of 60 minutes per subject. The marking scheme awards 5 marks per correct answer and deducts 1 mark for incorrect responses.

Syllabus and Preparation: The syllabus aligns with the Class 12 NCERT curriculum. Candidates should review the detailed syllabus on the NTA website for effective preparation.

Participating Universities: CUET scores will be accepted by 46 Central Universities, 41 State Universities, 30 Deemed Universities, and 157 Private Universities.
